The Voronoi Tessellation Method in Astronomy

The Voronoi tessellation is a natural way of space segmentation, which has many applications in various fields science and technology, as well social sciences visual art. varieties the methods are commonly used computational fluid dynamics, geometry, geolocation logistics, game dev programming, cartography, engineering, liquid crystal electronic machine learning, etc. very innovative results were obtained astronomy, namely for large-scale galaxy distribution cosmic web pattern, revealing quasi-periodicity pencil-beam survey, description constraints on isotropic microwave background explosion scenario likely supernova events, image processing, adaptive smoothing, signal-to-noise ratio balancing, spectrography data analysis moving-mesh cosmology simulation. We briefly describe these results, paying more attention to practical application related spatial distribution.
